College in the Schools
The department's lower division French program participates in College in the Schools (CIS), a University program that allows high school juniors and seniors to take our French courses (Fren 1003 and 1004) at their own schools. Upon successful completion of a CIS course, students receive University of Minnesota credit. Currently the French program of College in the Schools enrolls over 300 high school students from twelve schools.
