Undergraduate Programs
The Department's two student assistants organize numerous events and activities, including conversation groups in French and Italian, the student-to-student tutoring service for beginning language students, and screenings of films in French and Italian. They also publish the Culture Shock blog, which offers articles of interest to Francophiles and Italophiles, useful links, the tutoring schedule, and opportunities to speak French and Italian in the Twin Cities. Fritnews, the student listserv, keeps undergraduates informed about academic updates, scholarship and service opportunities, job possibilities, and language-related activities. To subscribe, send your full name and email address to fritnews@umn.edu.
